Friday, March 24th:

4:30 pm - 5:00 pm: Registration

5:00 pm - 5:50 pm: Dr. Morgan Mullican: Systematize Your Active Care Rehab Procedures Part I: Low-Tech Functional Tests that Establish Medical Necessity

Proving medical necessity in today’s marketplace requires doctors to document objective functional improvement in order to get patient visits approved and paid for. In many chiropractic practices, case management is pain management, and when the pain goes away, so does the patient. One way to overcome this obstacle is to perform a small battery of quantifiable functional capacity tests to identify the patient's limitations beyond pain. These include measures of strength, endurance, balance, and proprioception. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to measure function, set goals for care, and communicate them to your patients and third-party payers.

5:50 pm - 6:10 pm: Break

6:10 pm - 7:00 pm: Dr. Mark Sanna: Systematize Your Active Care Rehab Procedures Part II: Improving Patient Outcomes Using a Hands-on Approach

When addressing soft tissue dysfunction or correcting musculoskeletal impairments, clinicians are keen to incorporate the most impactful treatment strategies to address their patients’ impairments. The primary goals are to reduce impairments and maximize function and performance within the shortest time possible. Attendees of this hands-on workshop will learn the most impactful manual therapy techniques, including post-isometric relaxation technique and extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT)  to improve patient outcomes.

Saturday, March 25th:

8:00 am: Registration

9:00 am - 10:15 am: Dr. Morgan Mullican: Systematize Your Active Care Rehab Procedures Part III: Training Proprioception and Balance

Balance and proprioceptive training are crucial components of patient rehabilitation because they help improve the patient's overall neuromuscular control and stability. Proprioception refers to our ability to sense the position, movement, and force of our body parts without relying on vision. This training is especially important for patients who have suffered from an injury or undergone surgery, as it can help them regain their strength, coordination, and confidence. By incorporating balance and proprioceptive training into rehabilitation programs, patients can reduce their risk of future injury and improve their quality of life.

10:15 am - 10:45 am: Break

10:45 am - 12:00 pm: Dr. Mark Sanna: Systematize Your Practice Financial Procedures Part I: Patient Financial Procedures: Why the Financial Commitment Is Not About Money

People CANNOT afford EVERYTHING that they want, but they CAN afford ANYTHING that they want. Many Doctors of Chiropractic fall prey to the powerfully limiting belief that people cannot "afford" the care they need. Whether you consider yourself a cash practice, accept insurance, or are a mixture, we'll teach you the step-by-step system to easily overcome patients' financial objections. You'll learn the patient financial procedures you need to know to keep your practice compliant and to create more cash-paying patients who pay, stay and refer.

12:00 pm - 1:00 pm: Lunch (Provided for all attendees)

1:00 pm - 2:15 pm: Ms. Wendy Lee, CPCO: Systematize Your Practice Financial Procedures Part II: Cleaning Up Your Billing & Accounts Receivable

Most chiropractors have a wealth of problems (and opportunities) bubbling beneath the surface of their billing department (regardless of whether it is in-house or outsourced). Generally speaking, a finite number of mischievous players are wreaking havoc on your bottom line. These billing challenges tend to brew beneath the surface for quite some time until you notice. Unlike the glaring problem of not having new patients, billing challenges are more subversive. Any of these challenges can be turned into a potentially profitable opportunity…if you spot it, handle it correctly, and address it in time. In this session, you'll learn how.

2:15 pm - 2:45 pm: Break

2:45 pm - 4:00 pm: Dr. Morgan Mullican: Systematize Your Practice Financial Procedures Part III: Reduce & Prevent Insurance Claim Denials—A Team Approach

Insurance carriers have a wealth of reasons for not paying claims. Have you ever been told there's no record of the claim being received, information on the form is missing or inaccurate, or the carrier is not the primary insurer? If so, you probably aren't the only practice to hear this. The number of claims submitted to insurance companies has increased dramatically over the past few years, and this increase has made claims processing dependent on computers reading claims. Because of this, even a small deviation from the rules can mean your claim will end up in the rejection basket. This session will review the most common reasons for rejections and what you can do to deal with them.

4:00 pm - 4:15 pm: Break

4:15 pm - 5:15 pm: Mr. Mark Sanna: Systematize Your Practice Marketing Procedures Part I: The Five-Step Sales Communication Process—Overcoming Objections & Converting Leads to Patients

The sales process has taken on an almost mythical status, with consultants and presenters around the world promising that they alone have the best trick for consistently closing sales. While their hacks and tips may be helpful, success starts with a solid foundation—in this case, the five-step sales process. The five-step sales process is a simple, linear approach to selling, and using our proven five-point sales process helps take the guesswork out of converting tire kickers to lifetime patients.

5:15 pm - 6:15 pm: Evening Mixer and Cocktail Hour

Sunday, March 26th:

8:00 am - 9:30 am: Dr. Morgan Mullican: Systematize Your Practice Marketing Procedures Part II: Digital Communication—Online Lead Capturing and Nurturing Tools that Work—Dr. Morgan Mullican

Promoting weight loss through dietary restriction and behavior modification rarely succeeds, often resulting in weight cycling (repeated bouts of weight loss and regain) with the potential for serious physical and psychological health risks and contributing to a growing epidemic of dangerous eating disorders. Practitioners and advocates of alternative and complementary health care must not fall into the trap of merely "plugging in" alternative therapies to this flawed paradigm. This session will examine the failure of current approaches to weight management, explore the underlying assumptions and essential components of an alternative paradigm for weight and health and discuss the practical implications of this information for alternative health care.

9:30 am - 10:00 am: Break

10:00 am - 11:00 am: Wendy Lee, CPCP: Systematize Your Practice Marketing Procedures Part III: Use Video to Engage Your Patients & Grow Your Practice

Communication is becoming more digital and more visual every day. Video is rapidly becoming the preferred way for chiropractic practices to increase online visibility, convey expertise, and engage and educate new and existing patients. With the increase in smartphone cameras and easy-to-use video editing and distribution options, video has become a highly affordable option for promoting your chiropractic practice. According to the National Research Corporation, they are 50 times more likely to appear on Google's first page results than sites without video content. Chiropractic practices can use video in a variety of ways. This session offers seven ideas and examples to get you started.
