OTZ Training Method

OTZ Methods develops chiropractors through its brand of observation and approach titled “TOP DOWN ANALYSIS”, which involves specific correction of the occipital-atlanto subluxation and then moves down sequentially through the spine. Emphasis is also placed on anterior cervical adjusting and also the difficult cervicothorasic junction (C7-T4). In OTZ land we call the cervicothorasic area “the vault” because it can be difficult to adjust. The occipital-atlanto subluxation pattern, known as the Hatcher-Murphy Subluxation, is explored in great detail. Resolution of this subluxation can have profound effects on brainstem nuclei, especially cranial nerve 11 which is involved in Frozen Shoulder Syndrome and cranial nerve 10 which, through the poly vagal response, can have profound effects on children with developmental delays. Chiropractic functional neurology is discussed during the seminars to explain how this method of analysis and treatment can affect conditions such as Frozen Shoulder Syndrome, Migraine Headache, Vertigo, Insomnia, Bell’s palsy, Autism, ADHD, posture, as well as others. We have found that most chiropractors overlook the importance of the integrity of the atlanto-occipital joint, anterior cervicals, and the vault. Our past seminar attendees tell us that applying this method of analysis and treatment to their patients has created tremendous change in their patients AND their practices. The OTZ Method is a tool that every chiropractor should have at their disposal.

Module 1 "The Move" 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

OTZ Methods Module 1 lays the foundation for the OTZ system of analysis and correction. We begin with learning the “Top Down Analysis” procedure that emphasizes the importance of the skull on spine relationship. Attendees will learn the technique of Blind Palpation that enhances the sensory input improving your confidence in location the specific area of subluxation. You will then learn how to deliver a report of your findings using the OTZ system of precise language skills and wall charts. Adjusting skills include the OTZ Signature Adjustment (C1-Occipital Adjustment) “The Move”; Anterior Cervical Adjusting and Specific Cervical Adjusting (C1-C6). The session concludes with OTZ Strategies that Support Cervical Adjusting including OTZ Posture Protocols and OTZ Body to Brain Training.

Module 2 "Blowing the Vault" 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

OTZ Methods Module 2 breaks down all the aspects of this critical Cervical-Thoracic Junction. This area represents the most difficult area of the spine to adjust. Also it is the rate-limiting step of success in most care plans. The complexities of the area are numerous. This area features a change in the contour or curve of the spine commonly referred to as a transitional area. It is also characterized by the confluence of many tissues, which make this area critical to fluid cervical and thoracic function. Becoming a master adjuster in the cervical-thoracic junction proves to be critical in achieving lasting, positive clinical change in health. Here in lies the reason we have named the cervical-thoracic junction “The Vault”.

Module 3 "Method & Mastery" 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

OTZ Module 3 is an excellent entry point to the OTZ Series as it provides an overview plus hands-on instruction in all of the OTZ analysis and adjusting techniques. In addition, Module 3 provides the opportunity to review your patient case studies with our team of Professional Instructors. Attendees who have previously attended Modules 1 and 2 will receive their OTZ Certification upon completion of Module 3.
